Earlier this week The Drudge Report linked to a story from the AP which highlighted the fact that almost half of all Americans (47%) don’t pay any federal income taxes.

Most people who don’t have their heads up their keisters realized that fact long ago.

The evil “Bush tax cuts” which according to the Left are the root of all evil, unfairness, and the current economic crisis, removed millions of more citizens from the tax rolls. At the time, Bush even bragged about it. Go figure!

The abominable progressive income tax system that has been in place in America for nearly a century rewards certain people, while punishing others. It usually rewards the leeches of society while punishing the producers. This is why Leftists love it.

As the AP story points out, millions of Americans are now excluded from paying taxes due to tax credits, deductions, and exemptions. Before I get e-mails from all the dummies out there; yes these people do get federal taxes deducted from their paychecks, but they receive it all back in the form of the yearly tax refund. Some even get refunds for more than what was deducted.

Tax cuts for the rich eh?

I know that there are some fellow conservatives who won’t like this, but I have always been appalled by the fact that the federal government gives tax breaks to people just for having children. Last time I checked, having children was a personal choice not a burden that some outside entity places on people. Is it fair that people who are single, or couples who don’t have children should in effect support those who choose to have them?

No it’s not fair! The entire progressive income tax system is the antithesis of fairness. It is used by politicians to pay off special interests, buy votes, control or modify people’s behavior, and to generally pit one group of people against the other. The Left loves the fact that almost half of Americans don’t really pay any income tax. They love it because people who don’t pay any taxes are usually indifferent towards taxes being raised on the people who do. They’re more likely to fall in line with the whole tax the rich philosophy – the philosophy that leads to Socialism, then Communism, then to Marxism and totalitarianism.

I contend that we will never really be a true free-market economy and a free people until the current tax system is scrapped.

I personally favor a Flat Tax that is equal across the board, and that is paid by everyone. The Flat Tax should also do away with most if not all deductions and exemptions, and should be able to be filled out in 30 seconds on a document the size of a postcard. I also favor the total abolishment of the death tax (inheritance tax) and the capital gains tax. People should never be taxed twice on any of their earnings!

I and many others believe (Know) that a Flat Tax and a zero tax on capital gains, plus a drastic cut in the corporate tax would lead to an explosion of investment and capital. This combined with across the board spending cuts would create an economic boom that would make the Reagan years look like the Jimmy Carter years. It would also drastically increase revenue to the federal government.

It’s totally mind-boggling that many Eastern European countries who lived for decades under the heavy boot of communism have adopted the Flat Tax while the United States now heads in the other direction towards massive wealth redistribution and socialism.

Notice that no country in Old Europe (Western Europe) is on the list. That part of the world is steeped in apathy, debt, deficits, and socialism. This is the model that the Obama administration and the Democrat Party want us to emulate – and we are!

Conservatives, Libertarians, and other like minded people should demand that the next candidate to oppose Obama in 2012 put radical tax reform at the top of his or her agenda. I understand that right now our fight is against national healthcare, cap & trade, and probably amnesty for illegal immigrants, but at some point we need to declaw the politicians in Washington D.C. The best and probably only way to really do this is to throw the current progressive tax system into the toilet and flush it 100 times.

That’s really the only way that we will be able to preserve freedom and prosperity for future generations.

Yesterday Glenn Beck had whacko Democrat ex-congressman Eric Massa on his Fox News Channel program. Before he started the show he went through his machinations on the blackboard almost predicting that the show would be a gigantic waste of time.

That wasn’t a hard prediction to make. I don’t believe that Glenn Beck thought for a second that Massa would bring anything new or deep to the table. Massa is obviously a bonafide buffoon who makes Rod Blagojevich seem sane by comparison. How Glenn Beck could actually believe that Massa, who has been a member of congress for a little bit over a year, could give him the “inside scoop” about the seedy backroom dealings of congress is beyond me. How Beck could have expected anything more than the insane ramblings and generalities that he got from Massa is mind numbing.

In my humble opinion, Glenn Beck knew exactly what he was going to get from Mr. Massa. His apology at the end of the program for wasting the viewer’s time was at the very least disingenuous.

There are only three reasons for Beck having Massa on his show yesterday.

They are:

3. RATINGS

I don’t begrudge Glenn Beck or any other television personality for wanting high ratings. The problem is that Glenn Beck has spent at least the past year trying to project the image that he’s above it all. When he apologized to his viewers last night he was doing so in order to protect that image from the charade that he just aired.

According to the Drudge Report, Beck almost beat out The O’Reilly Factor last night falling just 94 viewers shy of being the highest rated Cable News program. The O’Reilly Factor had 3,499,000 while Beck had 3,406,000. Sean Hannity came in third with 2,901,000.

I simply don’t believe that Glenn Beck didn’t realize that the whacky Eric Massa, with his loony stories of “tickle fights” with staff and nude shower encounters with Rahm Emanuel, would be a ratings sensation. What gem did Massa reveal to Beck during his private interview with him and/or his staff prior to being on his program that he then withheld as soon as he got on the air?

Please Glenn – I know that you’re the all-knowing savior of our country, but everyone isn’t as dumb as you seem to think they are!

For some time now I’ve wanted to post my opinion on Glenn Beck and his constant droning about how there is no difference between the Democrats and Republicans. The best way to explain my procrastination on the subject is “so much to say – so little time.”

I actually liked Glenn Beck when I first discovered him on CNN before he joined the Fox News Channel. I thought that he was interesting and different. I also liked his views and focus on the U.S. Constitution in regards to today’s issues.

After a while, I sensed a difference in Beck. At first I couldn’t put my finger on it, but it made me uncomfortable. Then I finally realized what was happening. Beck’s head was growing at an alarming rate. He started lecturing his viewers and radio listeners. He started believing that he alone had all the answers to the country’s problems; everyone else was too stupid or too corrupt to see what he was seeing.

By the time the town-hall protesters and the tea-party movement was in full force Beck made his move to become the unofficial leader of the opposition movement to Obama’s socialist takeover of America. All of a sudden Republicans were just as bad as Democrats. There was no difference whatsoever between the two parties. Beck suddenly started researching the progressive movement in America; acting like he was the only person in the country who had this information. People like Rush Limbaugh who used the word liberal were dead wrong. It’s not Liberal – it’s Progressive. It’s not Liberal Republican – it’s Progressive Republican. Beck had stumbled upon a new discovery; Progressives were far worst than Liberals, Socialists, Marxists, Communists, etc.

I believe that Beck’s sudden obsession with Progressives, or Progressivism was simply a way to distinguish himself from his top two competitors, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity. Otherwise, he was just another Conservative on talk-radio and Fox News.

When Beck claims that Republicans are just as bad as Democrats, and that there is no difference between the parties, he really loses all credibility. The facts, figures, and reality don’t back his claims.

I would like to humbly ask Mr. Beck and others who agree with him the following questions:

Who is/was the Republican version of avowed Communist and former Obama administration Green Czar, Van Jones?

Who is/was the Republican version of far-left radical Cass Sunstein, Obama’s Regulation Czar?

Who is/was the Republican version of Obama’s radical homosexual-rights School Safety Czar Kevin Jennings?

Who is/was the Republican version of Obama’s former White House Communications Director, Anita Dunn, who publicly stated that Mao Zedong was one of her favorite political philosophers?

Who is/was the Republican version of Obama’s FCC Chief Diversity Officer, Mark Lloyd?

Glenn Beck fans should be very familiar with Jones, Sunstein, Jennings, Dunn, and Lloyd. To Beck’s great credit, he has done much to educate the American public about these dangerous clowns. However, I don’t seem to remember George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan having people like this (Progressives, Marxists, and Communists) in their administrations.

Is there really no difference between the two parties?

The American Conservative Union (ACU) is a conservative political organization founded in 1964 that advocates and lobbies for conservative policies in government. They have come to be best known for their ratings of members of Congress. The ratings are on a scale of zero (0) to one hundred (100) with 100 being the most conservative and 0 being the least conservative. The ratings are based on the member’s individual votes on legislation coming out of the House and Senate.

According to the ACU, for the year 2009, House Republicans received a combined rating of 91.19, and Senate Republicans received a combined rating of 88.63.

In contrast, the House Democrats received a combined rating of 6.79, and the Senate Democrats 8.63.

No difference Glenn?

Last year when Obama and the Democrats passed the insane 800 plus billion dollar stimulus bill that Glenn Beck rightfully rails against, not one Republican member of the House voted for the bill. On the Senate side only 3 “Republicans” voted for the stimulus. One of the votes came from Arlen Specter who later defected to the Democrats. The other two were Olympia Snowed and Susan Collins of Maine – of course.

Hey Glenn – why would all of these Progressives in the Republican Party vote against the Stimulus?

During last year’s vote on comprehensive healthcare reform only 1 of 178 Republican House Members voted for the bill. (H.R. 3962) Affordable Healthcare for America Act.

On the Senate side of the healthcare bill, every single Republican Senator voted against it while every single Democrat Senator voted for it.

Still no difference Glenn?

Beck has on more than one occasion stated that the Tea Party is not a Republican or Conservative movement, but rather an Independent movement. Really now! Does he mean the same independents who voted for Obama in 2008? The fact of the matter is that the Tea Party movement is a Conservative movement, and the vast majority of its members are in fact members of the Republican Party.

Hate to break it to you Glenn, but so-called Independents are the biggest political prostitutes out there. These are the people who show up to vote every election day based on their current personal predicaments. Far from the above-it-all, salt-of-the-earth, principled patriots that Beck, O’Reilly, and Dobbs would have you believe they are; many Independents are nothing more than personal grievance voters with no real core political principles. Sure they’re also against Obama……. now that his radical policies have hurt them where it hurts most – their wallets and pocketbooks. Also, are we to believe that if a politician is an independent, or not affiliated with the two major parties, that this will make him or her immune from back-room politics, corruption, and dishonesty? Give me a break already!

I’m not saying that there aren’t bad Republicans who just don’t get it – there sure as hell are. I rail against them on this blog every chance I get. I became a registered Republican for two reasons. One is that in NY you must be registered to a Party in order to vote in that party’s primaries. The other is because the Republican Party is still the one and only political home for Conservatives. If the Democrat Party was the home for Conservatives, I’d sure as hell be a Democrat. But to say that there is no difference between the Republican Party and the Democrat Party is just so ridiculous that I have a hard time believing that Glenn Beck and others who parrot this ridiculous line really believe it.

The fact is that the two parties are just logistical organizations used to market political ideas.

The fact is that there is a bigger difference between the two parties now than there has been in a very long time. The Republican Party is still pretty Conservative while the Democrat Party has tilted far to the left in recent years.

The fact is that the base of the Republican Party is still overwhelmingly Conservative, and so are the vast majority of the Republicans in the U.S. Congress.

The fact is that the base of the Democrat Party is now at the very least Socialist, and so are the vast majority of the Democrats in the U.S. Congress.

The fact is that there is still a humongous difference between the two parties, and anyone who say’s otherwise is either ignorant, or driven by some other agenda.

Yesterday on the great Mark Levine Show on 77-WABC in New York, I heard Mark list and discuss 10 steps that could be used to destroy American society. Don’t worry; he wasn’t giving the Left any new ideas. In fact, he made clear his belief that the Obama administration along with the Democrat dominated congress is purposely following each and every destructive step. I couldn’t agree with him more!  

Here’s Mark’s list:

1. Rewrite the Constitution and break down its firewalls through Judicial and Bureaucratic fiat.
2. Concentrate all meaningful power in the Federal Government.
3. Suppress and Repress the Individual by attacking his Unalienable Rights through laws and constant torment.
4. Eliminate Private Property through Confiscatory Taxation and Regulation and wage constant war against Business Enterprises and Entrepreneurs.
5. Control Institutions of Education at all levels and turn them into Indoctrination Centers for the State.
6. Change the Citizenry by opening National Borders to virtually all comers and changing the qualifications for Citizenship to include mostly poor, uneducated illegal aliens.
7. Destroy the Private Financial Institutions that have funded the Greatest Production and Accumulation of Wealth for the Most People the World has ever known.
8. Destroy Capitalism and replace it with Redistributive Policies by destroying the currency and replacing it with a new currency or Revaluing the old currency.
9. Eliminate American Sovereignty through arrangements and agreements with Foreign Countries and International Bureaucracies.
10. Use American Foreign Policy not to improve American Economic and National Security, but to advance the Notion of One Government Globalism.

All 10 items on the list are a nightmare for any free society. For the moment, I want to focus on what I believe to be the most destructive and the hardest to reverse once fully implemented.

I’m referring to #6. Change the Citizenry by opening National Borders to virtually all comers and changing the qualifications for Citizenship to include mostly poor, uneducated illegal aliens.

I figured why waste time and write 400 words about Obama’s State of the Union speech when I can easily describe it in 25 short words.


 

I have a slightly different take on the whole Harry Reid fiasco. Don’t get me wrong, Reid is a Grade A scumbag who would knock an old lady from her wheelchair if he thought it would advance his political career. He is the epitome of a sleazy self serving politician who cares only about quenching his thirst for unlimited power.

Harry Reid, the Democrat Senate Majority Leader was quoted by the authors of an upcoming book titled ‘Game Change’ as saying that Obama had a good chance of being elected president because he (Obama) is a “light-skinned African American with no N---o dialect – unless he wanted to have one.” (Note: Townhall will not allow the N-word that Reid used to be printed. To read the uncensored version Click Here.) Reid made this statement during the 2008 campaign for president. When the quote from the book was made public a couple of days ago, Reid made a half-hearted apology which was quickly accepted by Obama.

Since the quote came out, Republicans have been shouting from the rooftops about the need for Reid to resign from his post as Senate Majority Leader. Even some Democrats are beginning to turn on Reid. Not because they’re so upset at what he said, but because this incident punches more holes into the hull of an already sinking Democrat ship. Besides calling Reid’s statement racist, his detractors on the Right are mad as hell about the hypocrisy factor. Everyone in their right mind knows that any Republican elected or appointed official would be run out of town on a rail if they made the same statement. Futile as it may be, I don’t blame Republicans for calling for Reid’s head – it’s their job to weaken the Democrat Party in any way they can; a job that they’re usually pretty inept at doing.

As for Reid’s comments, I believe that they were pretty accurate except that he left out an important factor. He really should have said that Obama’s light skin and lack of N---o dialect makes him more palatable to Democrat voters. After all, like Obama, other black Democrats have to run in Democrat primaries before getting the nomination. Darker black men like Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson have also ran for the Democrat nomination for president. Needless to say, they both were solidly rejected by Democrat voters. Oh yeah……both Sharpton and Jackson also have the “dialect” that Harry Reid referred to.

Does the Democrat Party have dark-skinned blacks who were elected to public office? Sure they do, but these people are usually from districts with extremely large black populations. There are dark-skinned blacks who have been serving in congress for decades, but never seem to be interested in running for president. I believe this is partly due to the fact that they know it would be nearly impossible for them to get the nomination. You see, the dirty secret is that it’s the white Democrats who have a problem voting for dark-skinned blacks.

On the other hand, Republicans/Conservatives historically tend to not care so much about skin tones as they do about political philosophy and qualifications. It was Republicans who appointed the first black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, (Colin Powell) the first black National Security Advisor, (Colin Powell) the first black Secretary of State, (Colin Powell) the first black female Secretary of State, (Condoleezza Rice) the first black elected to the United States Senate, (Edward Brooke III) the first black elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, (Oscar Stanton De Priest) the first black elected to statewide office in Oklahoma (J.C. Watts). Currently, a black American, Michael Steele, serves as Chairman of the Republican National Committee.

Also, a fact that is seldom taught in our public schools is that a higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats voted for the 1964 Civil Rights Act. If it were solely up to the Congressional Democrats of that time, the bill would have been defeated.

Almost forgot……it was a Republican administration led by a man named Abraham Lincoln which risked the destruction of a nation in order to abolish slavery.

Growing up in New York I have for years witnessed the subtle racism of the liberal Democrat. I was once at a wedding where a twenty-something black guy was totally out of control and acting like a jerk. This guy had everyone squirming in their seats. When I made a comment about his behavior to a liberal woman, she tried to defend him by saying “you have to understand…that’s his culture.”

So…it’s in black people’s culture to act like fools? This same woman would have instantly branded me a racist if she knew that I was a Conservative and a registered Republican.

I’ve had dozens upon dozens of similar experiences with liberal Democrats over the years. It would take too long and probably be too boring, so I won’t go into it any further. Growing up and living in New York I’ve run across hundreds of Harry Reids. I’ve become accustomed to their subtle racism mixed with blatant hypocrisy. I’ve become accustomed to living in their warped world where the meaning of words depends on who is saying them. So, Harry Reid’s recent foot-in-mouth comments don’t really surprise me, and neither does the mind-boggling hypocrisy of the liberal Democrats and the mainstream media.

It’s incredible what one can get used to.

For a day and a half after the low-life terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab failed to deliver radical Islam’s Christmas present to the United States, the Obama administration didn’t have much to say on the subject. I guess it’s understandable to imagine the difficulty in formulating a response from an exclusive golf course in Hawaii, but on December 27th we finally heard from Obama’s DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.

They would have been better off remaining silent.

The pathetically inept Napolitano told CNN that “there is no suggestion that the suspect was improperly screened” and that “the system worked.” If the system is based on airline passengers taking down and restraining al Qaeda trained terrorists in mid flight, then the system worked perfectly. Otherwise, Napolitano should be fired immediately.

Am I crazy, or does Napolitano look like John Kerry in drag? Has anyone ever seen them in the same room together?

Just when you think that her stupidity and incompetence couldn’t get any worse, she says “We have no indication that this is part of anything larger.” Really? There’s also no indication that she has a brain floating around in her bulbous cranium!

No Janet, there’s no indication of anything larger at all! Much like the Fort Hood murderer Nidal Malik Hasan, Abdulmutallab is probably just a lone nut who was driven off the deep end because there was no Halal food served on the flight.

Besides the fact that Abdulmutallab was already on a terrorist watchlist, his father told the State Department months ago that he was worried about his son’s radical religious views. It has also come to light that he was in contact with a well known radical cleric by the name of Anwar al-Awlaki, and that he may have taken bomb-making courses in Yemen. These classes aren’t electives, but core requirements in al Qaeda’s jihadist 101 curriculum.

With all of this being known about Abdulmutallab, he was still granted a visa and allowed to board an American based airline with a one-way ticket.

You’re right Janet; there is no suggestion that the suspect was improperly screened, there’s no indication that this is part of anything larger, and the system worked.

We’re so fortunate to have someone like Janet Napolitano in charge of our Homeland Security. Well done President Obama – another stellar cabinet appointment!

Alabama Congressman Parker Griffith was elected to congress in 2008 under the phony label of “Blue Dog Democrat.” After serving less than a year in office, Griffith has now defected to the Republican Party. This switch has little to do with principle, and a lot to do with saving his own butt. The 5th congressional district that Griffith represents is a very conservative one. John McCain won the district in 2008, but Griffith snuck in under the radar as a Blue Dog Democrat.  Griffith now sees the writing on the wall and would like to be a congressman for more than one term.

During a press conference to announce his switch, Griffith said that his defection had nothing to do with concerns about whether he could win re-election as a Democrat. He said his decision was based largely on the impending passage of the Democrat healthcare bill. I guess Mr. Griffith wasn’t listening to Obama’s campaign promises in 2008. I also suppose that Mr. Griffith didn’t realize that his Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, was and is in total agreement with Obama on all of his Marxist agenda. Or better yet……..Mr. Griffith thought that he could change the Democrat Party all by himself. Give me a break! Griffith knew exactly what he was signing up for when he ran on Obama’s coattails and public resentment against Republicans in 2008. If Obama’s and the Democrats poll numbers weren’t so horrendous, and if the public supported the healthcare reform bill, Griffith wouldn’t even think about switching parties.

Some Republicans and Conservatives will see this as a small step in the path to taking back congressional power in 2010. I have a bit of a different take on it. As a member of the Republican Party, I say to hell with Griffith and all of the other phony Blue Dogs who’ll slowly start jumping ship as the polls keep slipping for the Democrats. They’ll say that it’s about principle, but we all know it’s all about keeping their jobs.

After the Republicans swept congress in a political tidal wave in 1994, many democrats defected to the Republican side. The term hadn’t been invented yet, but those were also Blue Dogs who had for years gotten away with serving in mostly conservative districts.

The way I see it, is that if the Republicans do take back the Congress in 2010, they don’t need any mushy moderate types. They don’t need anymore like Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe, or Susan Collins. They need strong principled Conservatives who will fight back and hold the line against Obama’s Marxist agenda until he also can be booted out of office in 2012.

If these Blue Dog Phony’s want to become Republicans, let them resign from their seats, switch party registration, and run in primaries against real Republicans and Conservatives. They should then thoroughly explain to the voters why they switched parties and why they should now be trusted.

Seeing the light and converting is one thing, but just wanting to be on the winning side is another. Nobody likes a fair-weather friend!

Yesterday the U.S. Department of Transportation enacted tough new regulations on American based Airlines. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood called it the Obama administration’s “passenger bill of rights.”

The regulations require Airlines to provide food & water to passengers within two hours of a plane being delayed on the tarmac. The Airlines must also provide passengers with necessary medical attention and operable lavatories. If the delay reaches 3 hours, the passengers must be taken back to the terminal and allowed to disembark. The new regulations will go into effect in 120 days.

The penalties for failing to abide by the new regulations are severe.

If an Airline fails to comply with the new rules, Senator Chuck Schumer will personally be dispatched to the plane to verbally accost and berate the flight crew.

A spokesperson for the Department of Transportation said that they expect compliance to be near 100%.

With the impending passage of the Democrat healthcare reform bill, I feel disappointed, infuriated, and somewhat saddened. That’s why for the time being, I want to talk about something totally disassociated with the despicable shenanigans going on in our nation’s capital. I promise that I’ll have plenty to say about healthcare reform and the sell-out of our country by the Democrat party next week.

Until then, I want to vent my spleen at something much less important. Something that’s not dangerous to the future of our country. Something that’s nothing more than a bit annoying and maybe a little distasteful. I’m referring to the predictable behavior of Michael Jackson’s family in the aftermath of his passing.

Michael’s brothers are now starring in their own “reality” series on the A&E cable network titled The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty. Surprise - surprise! The names of Michael’s four brothers and cast members of the show are Jackie, Tito, Marlon, and Jermaine. As I’m sure is the case with most people, I had no clue as to their names – I had to Google them.

40 years in the business together? Really now…..I never heard of the Jackson 4. I must have somehow missed them. Later in the show description the truth slips out a bit when it states that they’re actually rehearsing for a concert celebrating the 40th anniversary of the…… Jackson 5.

I’m sure that Michael would have participated in this concert if he were still alive. We all know what great memories he had from those wonderful days.

Gee…..I wonder if this show would have even been considered if Michael hadn’t passed away earlier this year under cloudy circumstances. I wonder how many times an episode Michael’s memory will be exploited. I also wonder how long after Michael passed away that the Jackson 4 started shopping their new reality show idea. If I had to guess, I’d say that it was probably somewhere between 10 minutes and 24 hours.

Oh yeah…..I almost forgot; I wonder if father Joe Jackson had anything to do with this brilliant idea. Do the 4 brothers have anything to do with him, or do they despise him like Jacko did?

Good ole Joe Jackson; the warm loving father who treated his sons (Michael in particular) like trick ponies. This is the same loving father who is now suing Michael’s estate after he was excluded from the will. Joe claims that the part which excluded him was a forgery.

The Jackson Family and father Joe in particular must realize that like Elvis, Michael may well be worth more dead than alive. Led by Joe, they’re sure to not let the opportunities resulting from Michael’s death pass them by. No…..they’re ready, willing, and able to pick on Michael’s bones until there’s nothing left to devour.

Being a strong and enthusiastic supporter of free-market capitalism, I can’t be too judgmental in regards to how people chose to make money. (As long as it’s legal) Whether it’s by artificially impregnating yourself to create 8 babies, or by exploiting the life, death, and memory of a troubled and perhaps sick brother and son. I can however do what I normally do, which is to exercise my right not to watch this garbage.

This past Tuesday, (12/15) the CBS crime-drama series NCIS dove head first into the cesspool of political correctness. We all know that network television is no stranger to outlandish PC storylines, but NCIS went so far that it even broke the wide boundaries of fictional entertainment.   

The plot of Tuesday’s episode involved a Christian “honor killing.”

That’s right – Christian honor killing!

Gee…..the writers for NCIS must know about a phenomenon that nobody else in America seems to know about.

The episode featured a murdered Marine who recently converted to Islam from Christianity and the son of a retired Christian Marine Chaplin. The father is found to be paying members of his converted son’s unit to harass his now Muslim son into quitting the Marine Corp. In a sidebar to the main plot, the retired Chaplin’s long time wife is found to be cheating on her husband. Supposed Conservative Christian hypocrisy; now there’s a fresh new scenario created by television writers.

At the end of the episode the dead Marine’s brother fesses up to killing his brother. The reason: the brother “disgraced” the family by converting to Islam. I guess that the producers of NCIS are just trying to call attention to a growing national trend.

If this episode weren’t bad enough, CBS followed up with NCIS: Los Angeles. There, the story line consisted of four wounded Marines coming back from Iraq where they served as Explosive Ordinance Disposal Techs. When they returned state side, one of the four Marines is killed by an exploding cell phone. The three remaining Marines, one of which is a Muslim, became the prime suspects in the bombing. Of course, the bomber turned out to be the Christian Marine who often quoted the Bible. He supposedly committed the murder to make up for the horrible things he did in Iraq.

The truth of the matter is that these shameless episodes are just another sick example of American institutions kowtowing to Islam. These people seem to believe that perpetrating this lie on network television will make Muslims feel better about themselves and hate us less. These liberal self-hating idiots seem hell-bent on transferring the guilt and embarrassment that Muslims should feel about their barbaric practice of honor killing onto a religion and culture that has absolutely nothing to do with it. They seem to believe that perverting truth is somehow an act of fairness.

What’s next?

Perhaps an episode of CSI Miami where right-wing anti-gay Christians kidnap gay people of the streets of South Beach and then behead them on video. Or…..perhaps an Oliver Stone film that deals with right-wing Christians on a modern day crusade hijacking planes and crashing them into Muslim holy places such as Mecca.

It’s nice to know that we can count on Hollywood and network television to level the playing field for poor Muslims who are evidently forced to come and live in Western societies and are met with vicious hate and discrimination at the hands of red-necked Americans. Here’s an idea: the brilliant Rosie O’Donnell can consult on these projects. After all, when she was part of that intellectual think-tank known as The View, she once said that “radical Christians are dangerous as radical Muslims.” She went on to explain by brilliantly noting that as a result of 9/11, “we invaded two countries and killed innocent people.”

While we continue to kowtow and apologize to the Muslim world, radical Islam is laughing at us and using our open and free society as a weapon against us. They will surely take what the idiots in the media, television, and Hollywood give them; claiming to be victims while plotting our ultimate destruction.

If you believe that I’m overstating the issue - think about this. According to the CIA World Factbook, Muslims comprise 0.6% of the population of the United States. If they have this much power at 0.6% - if the politicians, media, advertisers, and Hollywood pander to them now, can you imagine what it will be like when they reach 5% - 10% - 20% or more?

It doesn’t paint a pretty picture for America’s future and the future of Western Civilization.

Democrat US Senator Chuck “the schmuck” Schumer is at it again! On Sunday (12/13) he called a US Airways flight attendant a “b---h” after she told him that he was required to get off of his cell phone in preparation for takeoff. On Wednesday (12/16) he supposedly called the flight attendant to apologize.

Frankly, I’m not at all surprised at the Schmuck’s behavior. Schumer could well be the most arrogant member of Congress. The Schmuck is a life-long politician who has never worked a day in the private sector. This vile self-serving creep was elected to the NY State Assembly right after he graduated form law school in 1973. He’s been an embarrassment and an albatross for all decent New Yorkers ever since.

This walking poster boy for term limits is so slimy, so slippery, and so duplicitous, that he actually makes Al Sharpton look like an honest hard working citizen. He’s so devious that even Satan himself is scared to make a deal with him.

Then again, I shouldn’t be too hard on Chucky. What do you expect from someone who gets elected and re-elected to office so easily that he doesn’t even have to make believe that he gives a damn about the citizens of this country. “Power corrupts: absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Sleazeball politicians like Schumer have come to believe that they’re above the very laws that they pass; only the rest of us serfs have to abide by their laws. Let’s chuck all the schmucks out of office in 2010, then demand that they impose term-limits comprising of 2 terms for the Senate (12 years) and 4 terms (8 years) for the House.

Some people argue that term-limits aren’t suited for Congress because there would be no continuity, and that it’s hard to get things done in such a relatively short time. Exactly! That’s the whole point. The less politicians do - the better off we all are.

Atlas Shrugs had a good post on Monday (12/14) dealing with a rally in New York City by Coptic Christians against the Mubarak government of Egypt. Like most Muslim dominated countries, Egypt has a horrible human rights record in regards to Christians.
 
According to the CIA World Factbook, Christians compose 10% of the Egyptian population. According to the same source; the United States Muslim population is 0.6%.

The Copts were practicing their Christian faith in Egypt hundreds of years before the Muslims arrived. The Muslim conquest and annexation of Egypt from the Byzantine Empire was typically brutal; this brutality towards the Copts continues to this very day.
 
There is currently a sick campaign going on in Egypt to Islamitise Copt girls.  This campaign consists of kidnapping Copt girls and forcing them to convert to Islam and to take on Muslim husbands. Most of the time, the Copts are powerless to do anything because the Egyptian security forces and police are complicit with the Islamic Mubarak government.
 
Earlier this year, the Egyptian government started a mass campaign to kill all the pigs in Egypt. See my post: If Pigs Could Fly….Now’s the Time. This was supposedly done in response to the ever growing concern over the Swine Flu. Gimme a break - nobody is that stupid! The pig massacre was just another way to harass the Copts who farm the animals for food. As we all know, Muslims don’t eat pork and consider swine to be “unclean” animals.
 
Little is heard about Egypt’s treatment of their Christian minority in the Western media. Our media is too busy reporting on the non-existent “backlash” against Muslims in America after each and every terrorist act or attempt on our homeland.
 
To be fair, Egypt isn’t the only Islamic nation guilty of brutality and oppression against other religions. Saudi Arabia is another well known offender, but because the far-left and their allies in Congress and the White House won’t allow us to drill for our own oil supplies, we have to close our eyes and ears to their horrendous human-rights abuses against non-Muslims.

What do centrist Democrats have in common with the Sasquatch?

That’s an easy one; they’re both mythical creatures that don’t exist in reality.

During the recent congressional debates about Healthcare and Cap and Trade, we’ve heard from both Liberal and Conservative pundits about the importance of centrist or moderate democrats in passing these controversial pieces of legislation. The Liberal pundits most likely know that there’s no such thing as centrist Democrats. The Conservatives are either ignorant of reality or suffer from wishful thinking.  

The names most mentioned during these fantasies are: Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, Evan Bayh of Indiana, and Joe Lieberman of Connecticut.

The American Conservative Union is a conservative organization (of course) which is known for rating members of congress on their voting records. Since it’s a conservative organization, their ratings reflect how conservative a particular member of congress is. The highest rating one can receive is 100 – the lowest is 0. For example; South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint received a perfect 100 rating for 2008. His lifetime rating during his 10 years of service is 98.4, which is also the highest lifetime rating of any senator.
Some other notables are James Inhofe and Tom Coburn both from Oklahoma and both with lifetime ratings of 97.5 and 97.8 respectively.

Now let’s take a look at the ACU ratings of the mythical centrist Democrats that we’ve all heard so much about. Note: the latest year complied by the ACU is 2008.

The only number that comes close to portraying a "centrist" is Ben Nelson’s 47.26 lifetime rating. However, the number to look at is his 16 for 2008. His numbers for 2007 aren’t available, but it’s telling that in the last year that Republicans controlled the Senate (2006) his rating is 64. This tells you that Nelson is an opportunist whose votes shift depending on which party holds the majority at a given time.

Notice Joe Lieberman’s pathetic ratings. This is the guy that many conservative talk show hosts and cable networks like to portray as a "conservative" or "moderate" Democrat simply because he supported Bush in regards to the war in Iraq.

By definition, a true centrist would have a rating near 50 plus or minus a couple of points. Using this definition, Nebraska’s Ben Nelson is the only Democrat Senator who comes close with a 47.26 lifetime rating. The next closest senate Democrat to that center 50 mark is Florida’s Bill Nelson with a 37.28 lifetime rating.

On the Republican side, everyone can agree that the centrists/moderates are Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine, and Arlen Specter who switched parties earlier this year, but has a record as a Republican for 28 years. Specter has a lifetime rating of 44.47, while Snowe has a lifetime rating of 47.88 and Collins a 49.55.

It makes perfect sense to refer to Snowe, Collins, and Specter as centrists, (I like to refer to them as other things) but you really can’t find any on the Democrat side.

So how do these so-called Democrat centrists (including the blue dogs in the house) get away with it? That’s easy; it’s called double-talk and voter ignorance. Liberals like Barbara Boxer, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi are actually more sincere than the phony centrists. They say the same things whether they’re in Washington or in their home states and districts. The Democrat centrists play a game where they speak and act like moderates or even conservatives when they’re on their home turf, then go to Washington and vote with the hard left.

Whether it’s Cap and Trade, Healthcare, or Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants, Landrieu, Lincoln, Bayh, and Lieberman will probably be solid votes for the left-wing Democrats. As far as Ben Nelson, it depends on polling data and which party has majority at the time the votes come up. A real principled fellow – that Ben Nelson.

Does this mean that we don’t have a chance at beating back Obamacare or Cap and trade? As far as Obamacare, I believe that some form of it will likely pass. Whatever it is, you can rest assured that it’ll be bad. Cap and Trade and Amnesty will depend largely on polling numbers and when the legislation comes up. At this particular time, with this particular political climate, I don’t believe that Democrats will bring those issues up in an election year (2010). It also depends on conservatives, libertarians, and concerned independents keeping the heat on the Obama administration and the congress.

If we snooze – we lose.  

Just in time for the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, the EPA has declared CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) to not only be a pollutant, but a public health threat as well. What perfect timing for the environmental extremists and the Obama administration.

Surely it’s just a coincidence!

A cynic like me would call it a desperate political move meant to stop the bleeding of the ever crumbling global warming boondoggle. The Left has been cultivating the myth (or should I say lie) of man-made global warming for decades and they don’t intend on letting all that great propaganda go to waste. They won’t be going down without a fight.

I’m sure that most people who haven’t been in the public education system in the last couple of decades realize that human beings exhale CO2. Since there are currently approximately 6.8 billion people on Earth, the implications are clear that man is the greatest threat to the plant. What a destructive force we humans are; just imagine what a paradise the Earth would be without us!

Calling CO2 a pollutant of the atmosphere and a health hazard is like saying that fish feces are polluting the oceans and causing harm to the fish. It’s beyond ridiculous!

CO2 is not a pollutant – it is food for plant life! There would be no trees for the tree-huggers to hug if it weren’t for CO2. There would be no forests, (rain or otherwise) and there would be no crops. In other words – our ecosystem couldn’t survive without it. That’s an indisputable fact!

This latest EPA ruling on CO2 is a cynical attempt by the Obama administration to bypass congress and initiate its own version of Cap and Trade – only worse. Any legislation or government fiat to limit or cap CO2 emissions will kill jobs and be a disaster for our already feeble economy.

If this evil fallacy regarding CO2 is allowed to stand, can population control be far behind?  A New York Times article from August 7th 2009, written by Kate Galbraith, highlights a study done by statisticians at Oregon State University. The study states that “having children is the surest way to send your carbon footprint soaring.”
